Thomas J. White named Executive Vice President
of ACG Florida Operations, Life and Brokered Business
DEARBORN, MI (August 28, 2018) — Thomas White has been named Executive Vice President of the Auto Club Group (ACG) Florida Operations, Life and Brokered Business.
He will assume responsibility for all facets of business in Florida, in addition to brokered business and life insurance products across the enterprise. ACG is the second largest AAA club in North America, providing membership, travel, insurance and financial service offerings to more than 10 million members. White will be based in Florida, which has 3.5 million AAA members. The company has a strong commitment to Florida, including the recent acquisition of Auto Club Insurance Company of Florida, the construction of a newly-opened ACG Florida Headquarters building in Tampa and a new Select Auto Insurance product which will launch on October 1.
White has a wide range of expertise in both the insurance and financial services industries, including several global senior leadership roles. He joined ACG as Executive Vice President of Financial Services and Brokered Business in 2017. He formerly was president of Non-Insurance Businesses-Farmers at Zurich Insurance Company. He also served as global head of human resources with the Zurich Insurance Company Ltd-Switzerland, CEO of Zurich Insurance Ltd-Japan and as president and CEO Farmers Life with Zurich Financial Services. He also served as CEO SEA and Senior Regional Life Executive with AIA.
A graduate of Northeastern Illinois University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree, White currently serves on the boards of Auto Club Trust and AAA Life. He has served on numerous boards, including former vice chairman of the Foreign Insurance Association of Japan, past president and board member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand, former board member of AIG Bank SEA and former board member of AIG Credit Card.
