AAA Auto Club Group Driving School Instructor Donn Davidson recently earned a Teacher Excellence Award at the American Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association (ADTSEA) annual conference.

ADTSEA state and regional representatives nominate award recipients for commitment to excellence and outstanding service to driver and traffic safety education. Davidson was one of only seven driver training instructors nationwide to earn the Teacher Excellence Award.

“We’re very proud of Donn and his accomplishments,” said Sandra Maxwell, AAA Auto Club Group manager of Business Development. “His professionalism, expertise and teaching style make him a favorite among novice drivers.”

According to Maxwell, the ADTSEA conference allows attendees to gain information on new research, methods and issues in driver education from experts across the U.S., including those from AAA. She added that conference workshops provide valuable insight on addressing driver education issues with distracted driving and help with AAA resources available to support educators who instruct students in the classroom and behind the wheel.

AAA sponsors the Teacher Excellence Award and helps promote traffic safety initiatives and improve quality driver education in driving schools, high schools and universities.

Davidson is a resident of Jackson, Mich. and teaches driver training in the Ann Arbor/Plymouth area.
